Common questions
How is WindowHopper different from Cmd-Tab or Mission Control?
Cmd-Tab switches between apps, not windows. Mission Control shows you everything but doesn't let you type to find it. WindowHopper lets you type a few letters and jump straight to the specific window you mean — including the document title in your text editor, the URL of a tab, or the conversation in Slack.
Does it work with browser tabs?
Yes. Tabs inside Chrome, Safari, Arc, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Terminal, Finder, and any other app that exposes its tabs to macOS are all searchable alongside windows. Type part of the page title or URL — Enter switches you to that tab.
Is it a subscription?
No. One-time purchase, no recurring fees, no in-app purchases. Free minor updates within the current major version.
Can I use it on multiple Macs I own?
Yes. The licence covers every Mac you personally own — desktop, laptop, work Mac, second machine. We don't enforce machine counts.
